You could make similar artwork in 3D and you would have more control over the process, especially with paintover. Modern tools allow humans to work quite fast and with a flexibility that AI lacks. AI art is a new genre of art and doesn't really replace previous genres; it just adds a new one.

Sure, but most people want quick, cheap and easy. Need a logo, ad, webpage graphic or very specific image for free? AI does the trick.

Sure, it all depends on the use case. Those are all new use cases where there isn't much budget involved.
