A year ago, I bought a 2019 T480 very similar to this, sans touchscreen. (don’t confuse it with the T480s, which has an integrated battery). Sourced from eBay and was really well looked for £250 ($330). Absolutely great laptop. Dual batteries (One internal, one external, both replaceable and original - still hold charge well). USB-C enabled too, and came with original power brick. Very easy to take apart and service/upgrade. With Linux, it’s as capable as my 16in MacBook Pro M2, but currently running it as a node with Start9 (think I might get another to actually use as a Linux laptop).
was looking at the newegg product page and didn't see any information regarding the batteries and the capacity of them
my current lenovo barely manages 2 hours of screentime, so anything in that regard would already be an upgrade 😂
You can probably get a replacement battery?
will have to look yeah, especially if it makes sense financially
I get about 4 hours with the dual batteries (but they are old). I keep it plugged in though, but battery life will always be the main compromise with these older laptops.
