It’s the 250th anniversary year of the greatest experiment in self governance humanity has ever known. From a Bitcoiner’s perspective the current state of things is clear:

1. The 1776 Declaration was a masterpiece. Its principles and remedies to tyranny echo as loudly today as they ever did.

2. The US Constitution was an extraordinary achievement. Its framework for distributed, limited enumerated powers at the base of all law is inspired. However, 250 years of corrupting human influence has made modern American governance unrecognizably distant from the principles established in it.

3. Today, only a small handful of those to whom political power has been entrusted even believe (let alone act upon) the very correct idea that a government’s sole purpose, as described in The Declaration is to use just power, emanating from the consent of those governed, to secure God given rights.

4. We can do better. The Declaration tells us it is our right to demand better.

5. Bitcoin points the path to better. It points the path to human rights secured by the laws of physics rather than the laws of man. It points the path to rules without rulers. It shows us we can just build things.

6. We can build parallel systems of secured rights. Better systems. Less corruptible systems. Systems that don’t require our trust because they are transparent and verifiable. We can have a peaceful revolution. We can withdraw our consent from the corrupted system. We can put all of our attention, energy and wealth into a system that will “organize its powers in such form, as to [us] shall seem most likely to effect [our] Safety and Happiness”.

7. To prosper, in addition to Bitcoin, we need likeminded freedom lovers to come together and build communities, institutions and systems that are dedicated to the proposition that we are all equal in our rights from God, and through our unity of vision and of spirit, we will support, defend, and enhance one another’s sovereignty.

8. In October 2025 the community building piece of this happened at Camp Nakamoto. It was extraordinary.
