I successfuly rebuilt my friends' network. He took a powernap after work and I went and did my deeds - almost locking him into his bedroom by accident while moving furniture to reach sockets and sneak some excess cables behind a shelf. It was quite fun! And everything works as expected now. Not the fanciest of jobs, but he is also visually impaired, so neither of us really cares if there's an ethernet cable, in white, dangling infront of a white wall. XD

Now I am just waiting for my parents to pick me up and drive me home. way too early but... apparently, old people do that o-o (they're 59 and 60 respectively).
