Lost 10yrs worth of saving in this hack. Euler is a good protocol. "Discouraging" is an understatement for me.

I would argue that it's not technically a custodian... The Euler smart contacts are the custodian. The bug was live for 8 months prior to being exploited.

If you keep custody you eliminate the risk of a 3rd party.
