That’s not a very feudalist viewpoint.
The way the State captures the economy is by having the monopoly on legal violence. Otherwise the laws and regulations it issues to benefit its cronies and punish its opponents wouldn't work.
Doesn’t help that the majority of jobs are government employment to manipulate unemployment rate…
