None, really! Gills or pores? That might be first to narrow it down (I’m guessing gills). Then the bulbous bottom can be a clue. The way the stem breaks… spore prints. KOH tests. The environment.

You find this in your garden bed?

Hello nostr:npub1dgpt04w4c88wc0g262xaw8zvlm4mvwtmjhl0tn2sxtyjywsn6q4qt8ka3a, I'm down to help, but I'll need some more information to produce an accurate identification assessment.

1. Pictures of the gills.

2. Where did you find the fruiting body?

3. Get a spore print, upload the results. Instructions:

Simply place the cap gill side down on parchment paper, wait a few hours, then carefully remove the cap to reveal the spore print.

4. Any other mushrooms nearby?

Found them here in the grass path, there was one other around just like it.

The gills were almost solid (the photos from last night)

I will see what else i can get for you tonight hopefully

Also helpful: An even slice to split the specimen in half to get a better look at the anatomy.

No idea, the #shroomstriches gave you some good pointers though. Those look a little young as well.

My guess though would be some sort of parasol out in that grass
