Have any men here had a vasectomy? What was it like? Was it the right choice for you?

i hope this note gets attention, im interested in the responses.

Been there, done that, well after we'd decided we had enough human resources.

Easy procedure, slight discomfort and swelling for a couple of days. Not painful.

Ice & rest for first 1-2 days.

Light movement for next 5-7 days then basically all healed.

Hasn't changed anything except the ability to produce offspring, everything else is just as before..πŸ˜‰

Thanks for responce. How many kids did you have beforehand?

3 was enough for us

Whose decision was it? U or the old lady??

Joint, based on risk assessment, vasecotomy was the least risk overall including long term side effects compared to messing with female anatomy or hormones.

Had one when my second child was about 2. Fantastic decision.

The procedure itself was painless, just felt like pinching and pressure, as everything had been numbed beforehand. Followed it up with three days of lying in bed on pain killers watching TV with ice on my balls. After a few days, maybe up to a week, everything felt back to normal.

No condoms anymore, no risk of an oops.

Thanks for your answer. Was it a mutual decision between you and your lady or just you?

Definitely mutual. We’d agreed to do it shortly after #2 was born, but I dragged my feet.

Yes. The procedure and recovery wasn’t painless but not nearly as bad as I expected. Going to the dentist is worse.

It’s great not having to worry about it anymore. But they burned and clamped my tubes. Sometimes, not always, the clamps hit something tender and hurt during climax.

It's like sticking your finger in a cigar cutter.

I get the same impression

No, thats the jews taking your foreskin goy

Mine caused permanent nerve damage, 3 weeks in bed and still couldn't walk more than 10 metres. Developed into a chronic pain condition, had my epididymus removed - no improvement, more pain. Eventually had my testicle removed, again no improvement in pain, just switched over to the other testicle. Pain got so bad it eventually forced me out of work, also got hooked on opiates - managed to kick them 3 years ago with the help of cannabis oil. Still have limited mobility, can't sit for more than an hour, still can't work.

So yeah, ruined my life, but please don't let that put you off...
