Your following feed is what you follow. The global feed should be more expansive. Clients like Iris filter the global feed by default, with N degrees of following separation from your npub. But you should definitely see more people in the global feed than you are following. Try playing with these settings in Iris.

If you aren't following many people, there isn't much to see. Keep following more to get more content. You can always unfollow if you change your mind.
