Yeah, so I think right now mostr doesn’t have any kind of useful web ui, just a json endpoint for the mirrored feeds. By installing mastodon they’re getting an easy to install app which users can go to and see content.

We’ve got a relay viewer: https://github.com/imksoo/nostr-global-viewer

But it’s not very polished. If we had an easy tool for creating a relay but also managing content reports, defining who can read / write to it, with a web interface displaying the content, then we’d be able to say to folks should just use nostr instead. We’d also need a cleaner way of bridging back, because at the moment the user name and profile of nostr->fediverse bridged id’s on mostr aren’t great.

For nostr:npub1jcwuf0dh5vqsq44qavygqwjfecawf53fmx7gadlcdtuexz0548hqy4jyrz we just worked with them to get an nsec they could use in a few apps and existing relays. While a relay would be good for them, more they needed a nice web interface to point users to in order to say, we’re on nostr, here’s how you find us, here’s our content, follow us. So they’re just a nostr account, and a mastodon server: https://mastodon.fightforthefuture.org/

We’re close, but there’s more work to be done.
