It's literally like spray painted dick pics all over the chain. I hope that eventually bitcoin code will have countermeasures. And I'm pretty sure one or several big miners are involved in this blasphemy.
I think we're stuck with it. What is more likely to unfold is that cheaper solutions will entice these morons off-chain. Ordinals is basically a last gasp of the "crypto" degens trying to speed-run all their shitty ideas on bitcoin, squeezing as much grift as they can, before the hype completely collapses.
Runes is already more efficient, but I have my doubts that it is safely implemented, since that dipshit Rodamor coded it.
What's even more awesome is that Bitcoin is swallowing this crap without skipping a beat. Their attacks are at most causing short term inconvenience, and the intensity keeps on declining upon each subsequent wave of attacks. This is of course the energy dissipation pattern of a ponzi scheme. Eventually you consume all the suckers and have to suck.
