Yeah this belief seems unhinged to me.

Ordinals plowed the NFT mania into bitcoin block space and grew the UTXO set. That died out after a year or so. Runes plowed whatever interest was left into OP_RETURNs. That died out 10x faster than ordinals.

Where do people believe all this blockspace demand will come from? I'm open to changing my mind if anyone has a good answer.
