According to the Washington Post, U.S. funding for the Palestinian Authority (PA), the government in control of large swathes of the West Bank, has now been halted in accordance with the freeze on foreign aid ordered by U.S. President Donald J. Trump. However, an unnamed former Israeli official told the Washington Post that funding for the PA security forces, who have actively been aiding the Israel Defense Force (IDF) in their operations inside the West Bank, has “not been affected in a meaningful way.” Additionally, other donors have reportedly stepped in to fill the gaps in funding. Who these donors were was not specified and at least some training initiatives and pay appears to be have been affected by the freeze.

Additional Context:

It’s important to note that the PA has been tapped to play a pivotal role in the ceasefire plan for the Gaza Strip. Plans are currently in motion to task them with maintaining stability and coordinating security efforts in the Gaza Strip as part of a potential post-ceasefire governance plan.
