From looking at this announcement, it seems that all they've done is make different national IDs interoperable and easier to use digitally.

All of this does not concern me on it's own.

What does concern me is IF the greater convinience translates into greater ID and KYC requirements throughout internet services. That is what we should watch out and be wary about.

I agree but people on twitter are blowing it out of proportion and making it seem like "wait now you've crossed a line!" when they do this shit all the time. This is nothing new.

Another step closer to SaFe FreE movement and EU level coordination is nothing new, indeed

There have been many big steps carried out past 5 years

The fact they push the blurring of borders gradually is however not less concerning to me than if they tried to push it altogether at once

It's not a matter of IF but WHEN

And WHEN they do it, it might be too late for us to try and find a worry to fix about it
