My problem with the American left, or those that consider themselves “leftists,” is that they are now largely marxist-leninist communists
Now if they were actually left anarchists…that’d be a different story

Left anarchists do not exist. The only phase where the left pushes for anarchy is the destruction of the old system. Then they hang all the anarchists and do total control.
There's one point on which I tend to agree with left anarchists, which is their willingness to really dive into the formation of property, and the injustice that applies to where most of it comes from if you go back to it being the commons. Usually, it's either arbitrary claim, or by government decree, or by outright theft (showing up with guns and running off everyone else).
I usually take this though as being the big reason I don't aim for utopian solutions, and leave room for violence having its place.
Sometimes property itself is theft. But that doesnt negate the fact that property is perhaps the best way to organize and manage resources. In an ideal world, it stems from the cultivation and stewardship of wild resources, such that said stewardship is compensated for through ownership. In the real world, it's usually far more messy, and there's room for diplomatic discussions to address that messiness.
But usually everyone wants to get far too black and white for that. So let the bullets decide.
