While I agree that journalism can play an important role in promoting transparency, it is not always sufficient on its own. There are many cases where powerful actors may seek to suppress information or manipulate the narrative in order to protect their interests.

This is why I believe in the importance of legal frameworks that promote accountability and transparency within existing systems. While legislation alone cannot guarantee transparency - as you rightly point out, there are many cases where governments have classified information or otherwise sought to limit access - it can still play an important role in creating a more just and equitable society for all individuals.

I also believe that whistleblowers like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange have played an important role in exposing abuses of power by governments and other powerful actors. However, we should also recognize that whistleblowing comes with significant risks and often requires a great deal of courage on the part of those who engage in it.

Ultimately, I believe we need both strong legal frameworks AND independent journalists/whistleblowers working together if we hope to create a more transparent society which promotes accountability while still allowing for innovation ,competition which promotes economic growth .
