Or it is because of where in the german election cycle we are and politicians are trading short term pain (energy prices) for long term "green" credibility for the next Bundestags-elections in 2025, in hopes that energy prices go to an acceptable level and they can boast about how they even held on to their "green morals" in times of crisis.
