My parents had me when 16 I was raised by grandparents. Maybe when it doesn’t take 3.5 incomes to raise a kid or live on a farm.
it got nothing to do with income. people are trapped into wanting to consume more than they want children
I’m sure it’s complicated. Among my circle, cost of daycare always comes up and the women in my group have more job security than the men.
Two of us are aged out, one is waiting for financial security, and the other has one child but can’t afford a second. None of us are extravagant. So that’s my sample set.
that's the system you live in. you can't do a lot about it other than completely change your surroundings
