oof... just caught up on some old stuff that i had broken with my domain name migration... not sure exactly why ... i changed over the domain but didn't change the gitea instance files and the old domain still pointed to it but go mod proxy must have been fucking around... which forced me to fix a version of my repo that was previously on github... i guess i should change that one too but fuck github, i only work on github when i have to

also, did i mention fuck github?

Gitea is a bit bloated too. I use bare repos on the VPS and stagit (with spa-to-http container) to provide a web interface for them.

how do you do that? stagit? the thing that i would really like is to be able to host the individual repos on base subdomains because i have a reverse proxy that's easy to set up, currently i am stuck with using the noisy prefix /git to oevery repo and i'd rather have subdomains... been meaning to learn how to do URL rewrites in my fork of leproxy but haven't got it working yet

really i don't see any point in the forseeable future where i've got anyone else contributing, what do you use for facilitating collaboration? mainly just being able to push branches so i can merge them up later when they are ready, just for future
