Yes, currently majority of machines come from china, so tariffs would hinder the initial cost and cost to add more. Bitcoin mining is prob not top of mind for Trump/Gov when imposing tariffs.

Could also be offset with tax or other incentives I’m sure.

Also, all the more reason to build chip factories on US soil, which seems to be progressing. In any case, we need to be able to build and mine self sufficiently. And also, run nodes to ensure all miners follow the rules wherever they are mining from.

*stock mining image is of gpu miners, which are no longer used in BTC mining, only mining shit coins with those now*
