Fly accross the equator and you'll see the earth is round.
You can also go to the beach and watch a ship sink into the horizon.
if you use a 100x zoom cam you can zoom into the ship again
it shouldnt be able to see this if there is a curve

You are observing it through air, which has a refraction factor chaging on metereological conditions that could increase your maximum observation distance. Physics.
