The price of a 12.5kg bar of #gold (£677,500) is ~ 2.4x the average UK house price (£284,950). A 12.5kg bar of gold can also easily fit into a regular sized back pack. In other words, the monetary value of 2.4 UK houses can fit into a small bag when priced in terms of physical scarcity (gold). This highlights the profoundess of the concept of scarcity.
#Bitcoin, or "digital gold", is absolutely scarce (only 21m can ever exist), while gold is only relatively scarce (there are still significant amounts of gold in the Earth's crust and throughout the universe). Therefore bitcoin is to gold what gold is to UK house prices, but on steroids. I don't believe this has been priced in yet. 🪙🇬🇧🎒#bitcoin
