I'm favoring open source keyboards for more security, but they often come with less features and optimization than big tech.

The keyboards I've used for android in all were: Gboard (google), Samsung Keyboard, OpenBoard (open source) and currently Anysoftkeyboard (open source).

Anysoftkeyboard was the closest in use to the big techs, but it still has a lot to improve.

Agree. Imagine all you input in your phone going to big tech 😬
