Wow...

Still, after the coinjoin you are clean, right?

So from an ethical perspective I agree that it’s wrong, but it doesn’t affect me personally.

If for some reason I somehow own a „flagged“ UTXO and I wouldn’t be able to coinjoin with Wasabi, I would just use Whirlpool instead. Actually best practice probably would be using both right after each other.

We haven’t even talked about the flawed architecture of the Wasabi software. You cannot calculate the entropy like you can with Wasabi.

You do not get the same on-chain privacy guarantees that you get from whirlpool.

It’s insane that in 2023 people are still using and trusting in Wasabi.

You should listen to this

No thanks

How do you expect to learn something with that attitude? Or do you think you know it all already?

Which privacy guarantees do I have with Whirlpool?

Zero deterministic links to mixed UTXOs

What if 2 UTXOs where from CA and the other 2 didn’t use their own node?

On-chain it is not deterministic (same can’t be said for Wasabi mixes).

I remix each UTXO many times over since I’m remixing 24/7, as do many users who run their own nodes, which negates your unrealistic concern.

Okay. Just don’t forget that CA firms can also re-mix for free and many people do not use their own node.

Brushing that away as unrealistic concern is funny for a person that cares about privacy.

Yeah, but it’s chosen at random. And as additional clients bring Whirlpool into their wallets (Sparrow, Keeper, Envoy, Stack, etc) the whole node problem goes out the window because none of those users can even use samourai’s node if they wanted to.

The likelihood of even 2 CA/doxxed UTXOs being included in a remix is astronomically high. And that’s just one remix.

Meanwhile if you mix with Wasabi *every single premix UTXO* is doxxed to CA to see if it’s blacklisted before including it into a mix.

That’s fucked up for a “privacy” project. A red flag, non-starter, etc.

Then look at the history of Wasabi txs being demixed, meanwhile no such cases with Whirlpool.

You’d have to be a paid shill, extremely naive, or a flat out moron to continue using Wasabi if you’ve spent even an hour looking at the history of the project history and those involved with its development.

My point was that your “guarantee” is not a guarantee but more a likelihood .

I agree that it’s fucked up to work with CA firms. I disagree that it’s a dealbreaker for me, if the coinjoins work as intended. They are two separate things, and until now I haven’t seen convincing arguments that their tech doesn’t work. All I see is a radical anti-Wasabi group hating the project.

The demixed Tx was coinjoined with Wasabi 1.0. That has nothing to do with 2.0. So basically an apple and oranges comparison.

Anyway, I wish I was paid, but I guess I’m just a moron. A moron with a higher anonymity set after going first through Whirlpool CJs and then through Wasabi CJs.
