Happened to me once, hopping out of a cab.
Fucking guy took the inside trak near the sidewalk between the car. Went flying and shattered his wrist.
I felt bad at the time, but reflecting on this, fuck that guy. Him being a lunatic dumbass almost ruined my night.

This was between the sidewalk and the car, with little or no space.

End of the day I think it was the Taxi that was at fault for not pulling closer to the curb.
