Why should Americans have to compete with illegal immigrants for jobs and housing?

In the housing market immigration of all kinds drives up prices.

In the labor market immigrants force Americans to compete with the entire world.

Why is that a good thing in your mind?

How do these examples not directly infringe on the notion of America being a nation?

It's an exaggerated problem that's not nearly scary enough to give up our few remaining rights for. The state is much scarier than some immigrants.
