No, they don’t require it. To back up your account you need an email address, but you can use something like ProtonMail or another anonymizer.

There are other ways to get a zappable Lightning Address, depending on your preference.

Telegram has LightningTipBot. https://ln.tips

There’s also Alby which has Nostr integration features. https://getalby.com

Both of those can be imported into #[8] so you can use them as a mobile Lightning wallet. https://zeusln.app

There are other ways too, but I don’t want to overload you with information.
