Want to have a ln node up and running within two months, is umbrel a good choice for a beginner?

Great choice

Still doing research scrapped the plans using a rasp Pi, doing a separate work station instead

That would be great

Umbrel, Mynode, Raspiblitz, Start9 all are beginner friendly. Umbrel diy is among easiest to set up.

If youโ€™re considering getting a machine lower your time preference, skip the raspi, see #[2]โ€‹ and #[3]โ€‹ guides on second hand machines for running a node

Yes skipping the Pi, building a separate machine

Yes itโ€™s good and fun to buy the rasp pi pack and custom build it with your own case etc.

Through my experience MyNode is a solid build also.

I don't use it because I have my own home brew setup but Umbrel's is pretty great from everything I've seen from them.

I think the answer to this depends on your technical level. Comfortable with some light command line stuff? You'll be fine.

Thank you ๐Ÿ’œ

For sure to get your feet wet with. Lots of cool apps available.
