Can someone tell me the benefit of the nostr.wine relay?

Drastically reduces spam in the global feed if you stick to the paid relays.
Seen one can now filter Global/Universal by relay once in there.
Thought nostr.wine was different tho, even to the other paid relays?
You have to pay for at least one relay in order to broadcast your posts if you’re not on any free relays.
I paid for nostr.wine as my paid relay to broadcast and then “read-only” subscribed to the other paid relays (free)
So does nostr.wine broadcast to many relays? Otherwise you would only reach those on that same relay right?
Oh yeah, they do some automated filtering of the free relays to try and bridge the gap between paid and free
