Let's be clear this is not YouTube's fault. The UK government made a Draconian law and the EU made basically the same Draconian law. YouTube is forced to obey those dumb laws.
Decentralised social media like Nostr is obviously far superior for censorship resistance but these laws shouldn't exist in the first place and must be repealed.
You're right, that's an important distinction to make and further highlights the importance of freedom tech.
