GTE and GT3's are similar but GTE's have no ABS, less driver aids and are slightly more powerful, they are generally harder to drive. But GT3's have much more manufacture support hence why they are more popular globally and with only 4 manufacturers left in GTE and only 2 series still using them (WEC & ELMS) it was a inevitability that the switch would be made.
