Today’s sunset walk was at the beach. I found a Matryoshka set of abalone shells, that is incredibly rare I’m usually lucky if I find one.
Today’s beach sighting: this vulture feasting on a hawk carcass.

What? They just show up on the beach like that?!
Yep, they die and their shells wash up on the beach. I only find them on one certain beach in my area and it’s a 6 mile round trip hike to find them.
It looked like a store bought one, I could swear. That's cool. Had no idea one could just stumble on those
