My wife hates the idea of adding chicken to homestead.
This could be helpful for the next cathedral episode, nostr:nprofile1qqsx8zd7vjg70d5na8ek3m8g3lx3ghc8cp5d9sdm4epy0wd4aape6vspz3mhxue69uhkzmr8duh82arcduhx7mn99uq3vamnwvaz7tm9v3jkutnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0rmumg9 .
They don't stop at the bugs though and eat and dig up all the plants, too.
Preparing in 2026 to build my home on my land in Colombia. My experience with chickens has always been the perception of annoyance more than anything, the time spent with them in my beds and in other areas I didnt want them was overwhelmingly too much. But I see all of these benefits, and for a good diet, they are essential for the land. Obviously building a robust coop is important and then training them to return to the coop through feeding at specific times. I really want chickens on my land. I know itβs not them, itβs me not setting up the system well enough. This time I shall! Thank you for this note!
