I used to think this was a crazy system, that Catholics have. Like an institutionally-directed iodiocracy.

But it's finally dawned on me that being hyperintelligent is not an attribute that preferences marital life (it's neutral, at best). It's intense carnality, a strong attraction to the opposite sex, a willingness to compromise and deal with reality, and a yearning for progeny, that qualify someone to marry.

A subset of highly-intelligent people are missing one or more of those. Encouraging them to marry, anyway, so that we get MOAR SMART PEOPLE, has led to a society where people can't figure out how to differentiate the sexes, maintain a family, or how to impregnate females. Which is a sort of High-IQ Iodiocracy.
