Awesome move. Ninety-nine percent of customers probably have no idea what it is or what to do with it, but it just happens to be pretty much the best cold storage you can get in a regular retail store.
If one day in the future self-custody ever gets banned and made impossible, we’ll be telling our grandkids, “Back then you could even buy those things at REWE for 150 euros, right next to the meat counter,” and they’ll just think, “Yeah right, the old man’s lost it.” 😄

It’s amazing to see most EU slaves (like ourselves) are expecting a self custody ban.
While the opposite might be true in some scenarios, it might be incentivized as risk becomes expensive.
Well, I don’t expect a full ban either. That would probably clash with other laws, and they still want to keep up the appearance of being a state under the rule of law, especially when it comes to investments. But I don’t think self-custody will be encouraged for the wider public.
