Yeah, phone number is an auto-nope for me.

I tried to sign up for Twitter long ago when it was new. They asked for a phone number in a message. I told them to take me to dinner first. They did not respond. 🙂

Then I went to read a thread on Twitter last year after Elon bought it. It said I could read the whole thing if I used a Google login, and, boom, I had a Twitter account. 😑
