I can't help but think that state actors have learned their lesson from ignoring emerging open-protocols (Bitcoin being the most obvious example ) , and that once the cat is out of the bag , it is impossible to put it back in again.
With that being said , and tell me if I am being paranoid here , wouldn't they be doing all that they could to disrupt and sabotage the success of an open social layer that embraces borderless payments , Nostr in otherwords.

Yes. I don’t believe the ”impossible to stop” part. Not regarding Bitcoin, and not regarding Nostr.
Regarding Bitcoin: It is theoretically not possible to stop it, but in practical terms it would be totally doable to render it irrelevant. We’ll see.

Focus on what's within one's control, and while we may have opinions on government, recognize that controlling it directly is often beyond an individual's power. Instead, advocate for being a responsible and virtuous citizen, promoting justice and the common good through rational and ethical means, such as engagement in public discourse. Emphasize inner virtue as a means to influence the external world.
