The "good people of Spain and France" are a bunch of junkies addicted to "free stuff" provided by the government who consistently vote, election after election, for more "free stuff", i.e., more power for the State.

And then, when the State says it's time to pay, they kick and scream, like the spoiled underaged children they are. They chose socialism, and that's what they got.
