Personal life hack (backpain): Several years ago I started experiencing terrible backpain, even complete lockups, bent over in pain. Had an MRI revealing herniated disk in lower back and was approved for surgery. I visited my chiro for a second opinion and was told to either proceed with surgery or quit sitting down all the time. I switched to standing desk (and eventually to a treadmill desk). After several grueling months of adjusting to standing and now more than three years of treadmill desk only, I have nearly eliminated my back issues entirely. I personally know someone else that had the surgery and has now been fighting medical complications for the last two years. I thank God for the second opinion I received. Every veteran I know who has had back or neck surgery has regretted it.

My sympathy goes out to those poor guys.
