Have you tried looking into nonduality?
If you're trying to tell me that children being free in the future is the same as me being free now then I disagree. I want both. I'm fighting for the soonest possible freedom, not for freedom in some abstract, distant future defined by the existence of my descendents. I do it for me. They will benefit as a secondary consequence.
Nonduality isn't really a defined concept, so I can only speculate. It has various vague meanings depending upon context.
