Well, it's shooting their own feet. The US can't produce shit, so when everything that comes into the country - which is everything basically - it will cost hefty tariffs. I don't know but that sounds pretty great for people outside the US. Stuff will get cheaper as the US is taken off the board as a consumer. Sure, some products will struggle with a lost market but US citizens will struggle the most, when microwaves, cars, toys, laptops, everything costs twice as much from one day to the other.
