Does artificial intelligence serve the same roll as Bitcoin mining for power grids?

The short term answer is yes, but the long term answer is no.

Bitcoin mining with its difficulty adjustment is fundamentally different from AI compute.

Cost to produce the marginal unit of AI output goes down over time. Bitcoins the inverse.

There's unseen variables here with constraints on each of the systems...but my point stands...the difficulty adjustment wins.
