I don't pretend to have the solutions, but I certainly don't think we should be giving up so easily.

Monero is another chain after all, surely our focus should be on making Bitcoin and it's own layers more private and robust, and fighting for the right to do simple privacy preserving things like CoinJoin.

If you need a way to privately transact, and Monero is the best option I say go for it, but I still think the fight needs to stay with Bitcoin otherwise everything starts to fragment.
