If not “moral relativism” … then what is the pathway to peace amongst humans?

Discussion

Retreating to the position of moral relativism from the start makes it difficult to discuss, as it becomes not easy to find common positions from which to argue.

Hmm. I’m such a naive optimist. It’s truly not “retreating” for me, but I understand how can be seen that way. Thanks for clarifying.

Is there a better way to “ease into” the “tell me what you think” part of conversing, cause I’m honestly clueless.

I actually laughed, when I saw this.

I didn't know that "Moral Relativism" is seriously portrayed as some weird opinion or something.

It is not an opinion or whatever. It is simply an objective description of reality. Of course, morality is relative.

Literally everything is relative. Nothing is absolute.

Just look at quantum physics for ethics' sake!

Lol. I too had to look it up. Not one for million dollar phrases, esp in the context of “putting one in their place” and all that. Once I saw the definition (as linked) and realized that I just got told off for being the “listening and understanding” type, I also had to laugh. It’s so true!

“To each their own”

“No body is perfect”

“Ya win some and ya loose some”

I’d get in trouble no matter what I say! Lol.
