Thanks for this. This willingness to be disliked is closely related to the propensity to tell authorities -- and the majority -- that "you're ALL wrong, and I am right." In his excellent book, _Human Accomplishment_, Charles Murray showed us that this propensity was a major factor in the creation of Western civilization.
