Getting leggy, need more light most likely.

I don't have grow lights, just the window. Haven't hardened them off yet for full sun.

They don't look horribly leggy, I've had worse. Being tomatoes, you can always replant them and bury the stem and it will sprout more roots out.

this is very true i have planted my tomatoes a foot deep

As you can see on the bottom only about half of my peppers sprouted

They look healthy. The ones on the right are ready to transplant into soil. IMO

Also, I had success with doing trench planting with my tomatoes this season.

πŸ˜‚ that diagram looks wrong

That why I chose it πŸ˜‰ but you get the idea.

And someone gets a follow...

What kind of grow light are they under?

They are not. Just a window ledge

You need to grab some full spectrum led bar lights and get those seedings some intense light. Sprouting tomato seeds from good sources and under humidity dome will give better results. Typically step them up into 4" pots then into 6", harden and then strip the foliage and transplant like a foot down and water in heavy. Set up trellis early and prune heavy.

Prune heavy eh? I recently had a tomatoe plant. My first, started at 1.5 feet when I bought it. Was doing great, got to over 6’ tall and had some green tomatoes. Then got hit with some sort of fungus, dark crap spread throughout and had to end it

sry YODL, 1st i heard U had to End it/th@z just sad, my brother*

I know 😭

Gonna plant garden over, including tomato plant again soon. Still learning

We all are

Ha, but I’m realllly learning. First time on everything. Seeds be hard to grow!!

there U* go/>

Light! They are stretching out reaching for it, fall over and die. You need a better source.

Get a good LED grow light, download the Photone app and see whats a good distance from your light source to the seedling.

As people have said, not enough light, but you might be able to rescue them by planting them in deeper compost. The tomatoes will root from the stem that is buried

Stronger light closer to the plant

If your hand doesn’t feel te intensity of the light when hovering above the plant your lights are too high But if your hand is uncomfortable, its to close

The leaves will curl up if the light is to intense

2-3 days of grow light and the stems have stiffened up and they are all standing up straight. πŸ€™πŸ€πŸ™
