Bingo. They stated password managers are a single point of failure. If I want to be charitable, I think it is a gross overreaction to the problem of a small subset of people who use their password manager to also generate their 2FA codes. In that one subset your password manager actually could be a single point of failure. But for everyone else who does not do that, they are being blocked for no reason.
