The first mention of “bit coin” was made on April, 2008 - 6 months before the Bitcoin whitepaper was published 😳

Nick Szabo had published an article on bit gold. A mysterious person “eddie” introduced a concept of time adjusted inflation to prevent the supply of rapid expansion due to faster CPUs.

Interestingly it sounds suspiciously similar to difficulty adjustment which is a cruical element in Nakamoto Consensus.

Funnily eddie misspelled bit gold as “bitgold” AND yet non-existant bitcoin as “bit coin”…

Could this eddie be Satoshi? 🧐

Maybe I am misreading, but everything else he says seems to argue against how bitcoin works. He is advocating for a money supply based on people involved, and against using CPU cycles.
