When Tunisia went up, it started with a journalist being shot in the temple with a rubber bullet… my ex girlfriend’s school mate. I was in Egypt during the uprising there. Had friends in Syria when Assad decided the “incorrect” pipeline route and knew people working in Libya when Ghadaffi made the unfortunate decision to create a hold backed currency. It’s just fucking blah blah of psychopathic bullshit constantly with normal people suffering. Be nice to see the end of 20th century centralised authority manipulation of populations to back the abuse of other nations to try to take control of resources. Just cooperate and trade and let everyone progress. It can’t be that hard surely? Game theory or not, human cooperation leads to better results

100% agree with this, to change centuries of abuse takes time. The paradigm shift will be painful but must happen. Bitcoin is a cog in that change. Let’s hope sanity prevails

Not sure that can ever truly happen with humanity. Be good to see but at least a massive reduction in the resource grabbing slaughter and a little cooperation would be a decent first step. Always seems that the ability to project power assymetrically results in a perceived necessity to do so growing over time. It’s becoming increasingly clear that Trump is aware of the behind-the-scenes actors who had been positioning themselves to seize control of Ukraine’s resources plans that were set in motion years ago. Some of these actors are Americans who leveraged taxpayer money to bring their strategy to fruition and were on the verge of crossing the finish line. His only viable move was to publicly declare that he would be the one to take those resources, redirecting them back to benefit the American people and returning what was stolen . In a dirty entangled world like that I gotta give it to him that this was the most genius move . Don’t agree with some of his other international moves and can’t tell if it follows the same logic but this one is clear as day
