F/A-18E/F Super Hornets from Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1), deployed aboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), returned earlier today to Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia. The squadrons — Strike Fighter Squadron 11 (VFA-11), Strike Fighter Squadron 81 (VFA-81), and Strike Fighter Squadron 143 (VFA-143) — completed an eight-month deployment operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet’s area of responsibility, including missions in the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
